Barbarossa based on the admiral of the Ottoman Navy Khayr al-Din Barbarus also known as Hızır Hayrettin Pasha. Barbarossa's naval victories secured Ottoman dominance over the Mediterranean during the mid 16th century. "Barbarossa" mean "Redbeard" in Italian he also called barbaros.
He also received the honorary name Hayreddin (from Arabic Khayr ad-Din) in greek βαρβαρος , Barbarian, and Sword of the Mediterranean.
Barbarossa retook the Peñón of Algiers from the Spaniards. Barbarossa was appointed Kapudan Pasha (Grand admiral) of the Ottoman Navy by Suleiman the Magnificent.
Barbarossa led a huge Ottoman Empire forces and captures many coasts.
